Frequently Asked Questions:
What effects can be expected?
Volufiline motivates fat cells under the skin to increase their volume, so when applied to lips and their contour, it can help naturally add volume to the lips.
Is the effect permanent?
No, but it can be long-lasting depending on individual predispositions. The number of fat cells in an adult's body is relatively stable, and Volufiline primarily motivates these cells to accumulate more lipids to increase their volume. Over time, the amount of lipids accumulated in the cell will normalize.
Is the Volufiline Lip Balm safe for use during pregnancy?
There are no tests conducted on pregnant or postpartum women as it would be unethical. At the same time, our balm does not contain any ingredients that are known to promote adverse pregnancy outcomes. The Volufiline manufacturer has confirmed that 5% Volufiline, used twice daily in a lip product, is safe for adults, including pregnant and breastfeeding women.
What oils make up the balm base?
Coconut, olive, sweet almond, and avocado oils.
Is the tube really made of paper?
Yes! Our balm is packaged in a tube made entirely of paper and contains no plastic elements. We believe our customers to be primarily interested in the effectiveness of products rather than a luxury facade, so we decided to choose packaging completely made out of paper. Our balm is thick and stable enough, so it does not dry out or leak out from the paper tube and works well with the push-up method of pressing on the bottom of the tube. By packaging our product only in plastic we limit contributing to the microplastics problem.
Is it a vegan product?
Yes! Traditionally, lip balms are made with beeswax, but we opted for plant-based wax obtained from candelilla, a type of shrub. Candelilla wax is more brittle than beeswax, so most manufacturers choose the latter, but in a tube product like lip balm, it is not a problem.
The product does not contain animal ingredients and was not tested on animals at any stage of production.
Why is there an empty tunel inside the tube?
During the production process, the balm is poured directly into the packaging, and the nature of cooling oils and waxes is such that they create a "well" in the center. This is not a product defect and additionally helps stabilize the balm stick.
